“In these difficult times….” Are you tired of hearing that? Saying that? Feeling that?
We are definitely experiencing a time a great change right now, and most of it seems negative. More layers of grief are being added on a daily basis. I’m finding that it requires effort to counterbalance that heaviness. I’m not ignoring my sad feelings for the world––I am actively choosing to also notice what is good and right.
Northern Minnesota winters are long and hard. Our Spring lasts 3-4 months, ending sometime in June. Once the snow melts I start looking up at the trees, waiting for the hopeful sign of opening leaves. What a sigh of relief when they burst forth!
Now we are surrounded by a shimmering sea of electric green. The sun is streaming through all that chlorophyll with awakening happiness. Tiny flowers are peeking up from the forest floor. Hundreds of birds are tweetling and warbling their love songs.
I’m taking the time to stop and soak it all in. I eat my breakfast out in the yard, read books with the birds, greet the flowers, talk to the rabbits and squirrels. I’m consciously connecting with every living thing around me.
I’m nurturing my vibration with Joy.
