Spiritual practice is a learning process. Based on a desire to grow, it provides opportunities to transform our feelings, thoughts, and actions. There are many ways to go about spiritual practice.
Deeper connections can be inspired through meaningful rituals or activities. We may meditate, dance, walk in Nature, or garden. We may volunteer in our community, or work mindfully with people, animals, or plants. We may explore learning by attending lectures, reading books, or subscribing to blogs or podcasts. We may take classes, or become the student of an elder. We may belong to a spiritual community.
The actions which make up our spiritual practice are like a menu. They are a path for finding the meal, but they are not the meal itself. They can be a path to awakening, but they are not the awakening itself. Awakening is personal inner resonance with the timeless infinity of the cosmos.
