Fear is a clue that we are becoming disconnected:
“Fear is about losing touch, losing contact, with Spirit’s home.
There is a sensation, a place you know, where Spirit has contact with God. It includes the body. The body is the sense organ that provides it. When the vibrations harmonize, there is a space between the notes. That space is the Void, made evident, God made visible.
Fear occurs when the Void is obscured, not felt. Ironically, fear can add to this obscurity, this dissonance. When fear is reduced, the harmonics can reappear. Harmonics would be difficult to produce in the presence of fear. We are back to letting go, which is a result of a change in focus. You can practice this: building a fear, and then shifting attention to a connection in nature, with Zone. You will feel the fear reduce, or dissolve.
Where does fear come from?
The sense that disconnection is occurring. Fear, itself, is not a bad thing. It can be a tool. The realization of fear is, literally, a call to attention––pay attention to what is happening and shift your attention. Not away from it, but towards something else. Fear is a notice that disconnect is occurring. It is a reminder to reconnect. To reconnect, not with Ego, but with Spirit.
Courage is a good example of balance. Courage is Ego placed in service to Spirit, to move ahead––not blindly, just because it preserves pride––but because you know it is the right thing to do.
What creates fear? A threat?
A threat to physical survival, either real or perceived. That is why fear is a tool. Because it is a request for action. Fight or flight are reactions by the ego. A more reasonable action would be to slow down and consider the context of the threat.
Reseat yourself in center. The One With All. The Original Seed, the Great Mystery. All fears are made within yourself. As is your Home, your spiritual center.”*
