i was listening to a radio interview with Charlie Parr yesterday. he was talking about music, and how people think that it’s just for celebrities, the famous ones. but music is for everyone. there are many great singers and players and songwriters who never made it big, or who chose not to pursue that with their lives. and there are lots of people who like to sing or dance or play just for fun.

it made me think of everyone who sings along with the car radio, or in the shower. who whistle a tune to themselves. sing a lullaby to a child. it’s in our lives.

and then i was thinking about how spirituality is the same way. some of us have been brought up to think that somehow priests or ministers or other church leaders are closer to God. those people may provide some guidance, but our spirit is in us at all times. we just choose when to feel it and share it.
