I saw a photo of the northern lights taken from space. Streams of neon color encircled the Earth. I thought about the Earth below, and the busy anthill of human activity taking place on it every second of every day. That activity is invisible from space.

Down on the Earth’s surface, however, it is inescapable. Systems of caring and humanity are being bulldozed. We are experiencing existential fear and angst. I wondered if any of that really mattered in the bigger picture, in the vast context of the Universe. We are so small!

I think the answer is Yes. It does matter. We are expressions of consciousness––an unknowable infinity of energy. Not only what we do, but we think and feel adds back into that whole. Be mindful of what you are creating.
